JASAFAR is a group of players who make the music they feel. We play original material in the blues vein – music that reflects urban life in the new millennium. JASAFAR grew from a basement band of three musicians to its current complement of seven. This was a process of growth and change over a period of several years. We are a band of musicians from diverse backgrounds who have developed a sound which each member uses to express themselves individually, creating a sound that is uniquely JASAFAR. JASAFAR is influenced by Muddy Waters and the Chicago Blues movement of the early 1950's and 60's. Our lead singer was influenced by artists such as Bessie Smith, Billie Holiday, and Etta James. The audience not only hears the music, but also feels the power of JASAFAR and can sense the enjoyment that each musician has in both their individual performance and the eclectic sound that can only be JASAFAR.

“Acoustic solo guitarist Trace Bundy, sometimes called the Acoustic Ninja, has been getting a lot of attention lately -- he just won first place in "Guitars on the River," a Colorado guitar competition in which his maverick style and mind-erasing chops beat out some of Colorado's best classical players. His newest material is so gorgeously outside of the box; Trace extracts gasps and hurts egos everywhere he plays.”

Listeners agree that Charlie Phillips' songs cannot be categorized into genre. His musical influences - rooted primarily in rock, soul, folk, and blues - have been blended and distilled to create his eclectic style and fresh sound. From the blues-rock and reggae flavored "Preacherman" to the campfire folksiness of "Donny T", he draws from a pallet of musical colors creating a collage of songs which leave the listener eager to hear the next.

Our Mission Statement could read as follows: Make No Mistake! NLMS are simply here to help our Friends, Neighbors, Brothers and Sisters…and those beyond, get loose on Saturday Night, leave their worries at the door, and Dance! Dance! Dance! It’s called Rock n’ Roll, people! Let the Good Times Roll!
Canadian Invasion is a crack team of Philadelphia pop rock 'n' rollers, desperately protecting America from the pernicious influence of our northern neighbor's ideology of gun control and healthcare-on-demand by celebrating the esteem-building value of suburban American life. CI's 2006 record, Songs for the Atco Ghost, garnered praise from fans and critics alike for its "breathy jangle that’s both bubblegum and alt-country" (Philly Weekly). The guys are poised to release the follow-up to Atco Ghost, recorded with Philly uber-producer Brian McTear of Bitter, Bitter Weeks fame, later this year.
STEVE PEPPER has been creating original American roots music in the Mid Atlantic region for several years. Stimulated by American culture, Steve Pepper's song writing style brings his eclectic influences to his gritty, down-to-earth songs. Steve's songs are insightful and unapologetic, and he delivers them with honesty and conviction. The Steve Pepper Band has developed a cult-like appeal among different crowds in the tri-state area.
More than anything, Chris Cubeta is an intensely personal writer, whose songs offer listeners an unfiltered peak into his often-messy, always-wild universe. While his lyrics combine nuance-soaked imagery with a brash, incisive point-of-view, Cubeta's sound is equally eclectic, combining the wispy, sensitivity of the singer/songwriter with the unbridled thrill of rock and roll.

The Setting Sons formed in February, 2008 in Philadelphia, PA. They play bluegrass originals and standards, fiddle tunes, and jazz standards. Andy Davis, the group's banjo player and main songwriter, began writing bluegrass numbers in 1994 for The Spikedrivers out of Oakland, California. He also recorded two albums playing electric banjo with the jug rock band 86 from San Francisco. He is a teacher, likes reading about brains, and lives with his wife and three kids in Narberth, PA.
Geron Hoy is a New York-based singer/songwriter with deep roots in folk, blues, country, and Americana. A truly homegrown artist, he honed his musical sensibilities over the course of a transient upbringing that took him from his birthplace in Laredo, Texas to New Orleans to Mesa, Arizona, and finally to his teenaged years in the farmlands of Simsbury, Connecticut. His songs ring reminiscent of a bygone era of cultural and political revolution, while also exploring the personal quest for higher wisdom and self-realization. His live performances echo with intensity and emotional abandon. Geron Hoy's music is a marriage of young spirits and old souls, always authentic, and never cheap in sentiment.
